OUTDOORS
The
High Line,
New York, NY
Project: Partnered with The
Greenbelt Native Plant Center and
Friends of the High Line to participate
in a seed harvest of native plants that grow on the High Line. These seeds
will be stored and re-used after the conversion of the High Line into an elevated urban park.
Private Estate,
Ontario, Canada
Project: Restore and redesign a two-acre garden in Zone 5,
mostly in partial shade. I also designed an organic potager
next to the
house to provide vegetables from spring to fall.
Good Shepherd Services, Brooklyn,
NY
Project: Design of all outdoor spaces for the South
Brooklyn Community High School. This project was funded by High
Water Women, a foundation of women in the hedge fund industry, dedicated
to bettering the lives of
women and children.
Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Cape Town, South Africa
Project: Redesign
of the endemic African salvia and Cape Peninsula plants beds.
Orchid House at Templeton Estate, Old Westbury, NY
It was wonderful to
have cared for C.Z.
Guest's rare vandas and
dendrobiums, some of which were displayed under vigilant
elephant tusks.
Private Residences, New York, NY
Vast amounts of soil provide the ideal setting
for gardening. But my favorite green work is in urban environments,
which often need it the most. Plants thriving atop concrete-and-steel towers transform terraces into
oases.

INDOORS
PORTS 1961
For the re-branding of this fashion label I explored the style of 1960s travel and the most recent collections designed by the label's creative director, Tia Chibani. Her felts and brocades cut with simple lines, inspired this new logo that is classic and young.
Carnet Travel
To launch its luxury online city guides, Carnet approached
me to produce a printed "passport" to the most important
venues for arts, shopping, nightlife, etc., included free with
the guide's subscription. All city guides are edited by a fictional
character named Eva, who gives subscribers up-to-the-minute insider information...
dVider, New
York, NY
Project: A series of modern botanical illustrations applied
as stencils
in flock or vinyl on white cotton room dividers. When Emma Robson,
the
Johannesburg-born creator of dVider, comissioned the illustrations,
she
asked me to translate the "beauty of South Africa"
into shapes of light
and shadows. See one of my stencils featured in
The New York Times, HOUSE & HOME section.
Interior Arrangements for intimate events.
